Simon Lamkin - CEO

Simon has been working in travel technology for 22 years and IT for 28 years.

Starting as a consultant at WS Atkins, Simon worked for many public sector entities across the UK and was lucky enough to be part of the design team on Prince2 and spent several years achieving his goal of designing large-scale systems and immersing himself into the depths of SSADM and whiteboarding database schemas.

Leaving Atkins in 1997, Simon joined a startup, Rapid Travel Solutions, and was lucky to get involved in working with some amazing travel companies such as Going Places, STA Travel, lastminute.com, Cosmos Holidays among others.

Following the acquisition of Rapid Travel to Telewest Business, Simon joined easyJet in 2004, where we worked for 12 years. Over the years Simon was integral in transforming the website from the simple flight booking system to a fully integrated booking tool for all ancillary products and creating the core booking flow that this is still being used to this day. Airports were next to see Simon's innovation come to form in driving the Halo project forward and creating a mobile boarding solution for easyJet and creating the platform that would later be used for all remote bag drop facilities across the easyJet estate.

In 2016, Simon took on his next challenge and move to Brussels as CIO of Brussels Airlines - his transformative work there was recognised in the CIO100 list in 2017 and 2018 and in the HotTopics Global 100.

In March of 2019, Simon left Brussels and founded LamTech Solutions.

Simon is a member of the FTE Executive Advisory Board.
